WhatsApp is now delivering over 100 billion messages a day, solidifying itsꦗ position as one of the most popular communication methods.
In February WhatsApp made headlines when it it had crossed the two billion users mဣark. The platform shows no sign of slowing down, with Will Cathcart, Head of WhatsApp at Facebook, announcing the latest milestone.
This year we've all relied on messaging more than ever to keep up with our loved ones and get business done. We are proud that is able to deliver roughly 100B messages every day and we're excited about the road ahead.

Facebook has been looking for ways to monetize WhatsApp to help recoup the $19 billion the company paid to acquire it. After flirting with the idea of ads within the app, the Facebook pivoted to business aܫnd finance options instead. In July the company its WhatsApp Business app had cross the 50 million users mark.
Given the plat🅺form’s popularity, there is still plenty of room for Facebook to grow WhatsApp’s business and finance services.
